Poem and Poet
~ From your works shall you be known ~

Maroubra Beach

On Maroubra Beach's golden sand
The kids making sandcastles need a hand!

People are sunbaking in front of the sea
Kids are playing and shouting with glee!

Farther out to sea the dolphins are dancing
People who see it think it's enchanting.

You can see the seagulls looking for some fish
When they find one they gobble it up like a hungry beggar eating a tasty dish.

You can go shell collecting with your mum and dad
You get to go to Maroubra Beach aren't you glad!

When you walk along the sand you remember the Hereward crashing into rocks
It crashed on its way to deliver its stocks.

When you leave you'll probably be sad
But you can always come again so it's not that bad!
