Denial of affliction
Cruel words diminish one's
spirit
Words spoken from animosity and rage reach climax
Dreams of approval, acceptance and love wither
Painful reality arose its peak, denial broken at last
Hatred, bitterness, silent scorn, punishment, injustice
Is what I see in your eyes, a dark and dreary sight?
Portraying to be soft, but reality claims its toughness
Shallow is the lake of vanity in a bleak state
Taking away one's honor, dignity, and rights
Subtle accusations to proclaim righteous bait
Being one up is detrimental for the lie to partake
To spread like a cancer no love to take hold
Deliberately inflicting pain on one's torn soul
Bringing to the gates of death
The violence that lives within
Protect the mind, emotions and spirit
God called upon in moments of displacement
Guiding the one who walks beside him
