Sitting outside on a spring afternoon
The story behind the poem
This poem is just about
observing nature in the most peaceful and open state one can be in.
When one feels so small in relativity to the whole scheme of things
mixed with the fear and beauty that comes with this. I remember when
I wrote this poem it was just after sitting in my backyard for a
couple of hours thinking about how little I had seen of the world
and how many living and beautiful things were around me as well.
Observing nature can be a powerful thing and there is so much around
us that we miss, sometimes it's nice to just sit back and really
look and listen to all the wonderful things going around us. I guess
this poem was just a way to really express all the things that went
through my mind as I finally sat back and did this.
