Your side of the bed
The story behind the poem
I wrote this one night
weeks after a break up, having realized that I still slept only on
the one half of my double bed that I had shared with my ex. I
stretched out for the first time to take advantage of my new space
and felt the shape of his body indented into the mattress. Obviously
then I couldn't sleep, so wrote this instead...
