Privacy promise
Poem and Poet is about giving poets a chance to get seen by both publishers and other poets (in order to receive constructive appraisal). It is not about collecting mailing lists nor supplying the personal details of our contributors to marketing agencies.
If we get an enquiry for you from a publisher, for example, we will forward that email enquiry to you. It is then up to you to contact the sender (please do not just ignore a serious enquiry even if you are not interested as that could spoil the chances of other poets).
Accordingly Poem and Poet needs to be kept informed of any changes to your email contact details so that we can pass these enquiries to you.
Likewise, if we receive a complaint about a poem and our contact details for the author are incomplete, we will have no option but to concur with the person complaining and immediately remove the offending poem and/or story.
Poem and Poet is primarily interested in poems from adults however it would also be pleased to receive contributions from younger persons who are displaying a maturity in their thinking and perception. Poem and Poet is a particularly safe environment for minors as all contributions are screened before appearing on the site and, as stated above, the contact details of the authors are not divulged to third parties.
