Just you and me
The story behind the poem

We live by the River Thames in London, but we were both born and brought up on coasts (one Ireland, the other England). We never underestimate how important being near water is to us, it breathes life in so many ways. Maybe we are so attached as we have only ever known a life near the coast or by a river. The river Thames is a small piece of paradise in a very busy city - it is also a reminder to all of us of the life it breathes, the nature it displays and how it is constantly changing.
