Poem and Poet
~ From your works shall you be known ~

Barriers

Someone, somewhere is waiting for me
Somehow, someway I will find my place
Wanting to be where I will feel safe
Wrapped in my own little bubble
Until one day it pops
I want to breathe but I can’t
I feel like I’m suffocating
Turned mad from my isolation
Trying to separate myself from the world
I close my eyes and look inside my soul
I want to rip out my doubts
I want to embrace the world
Longing, yearning, desiring fun
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin
My hair blowing in the breeze
Opening my eyes, searching for what?
Reaching out my hand, trying to find my way
Something stops me from moving
The darkness grows larger
Until I’m engulfed by the void
