The Ice Queen
They call me The Ice Queen because they think my heart
is frost,
But I think loving is a weakness and to love is to be lost.
Of course I've loved before, but that all went so wrong,
Maybe that's why I spend my time pretending to be strong.
'She doth protest too much' though, and that you can't deny,
I'd rather be alone than to let you see me cry.
To let you see I love you or to ever tell you why,
So I write it down in poems, doesn't seem so bad in rhyme.
Maybe I've seen too much and grown old before I should,
Been through all the bad things only hearing of the good.
But now it's nothing like that, they could never be like you,
So it really wasn't hard to choose between the two.
So please one day come talk to me because I want to speak to you,
Tell me all the good things, see, I just need talking to.
