Heartache
Quiet room. Quiet home.
Quiet mind in the dark.
But not a quiet heart.
No, not at all.
It’s pouring. It’s storming,
ventricular walls cracking
through emotions trapped,
kicking and screaming.
A heart thirsts for love -
overflowed, drowning.
Set it free. Let it breathe
Let it feel till it hurts
Let it burst apart,
It’s ripened. It’s willing
to break or dissolve, aching
to surrender and yield
to the gravity of your touch.
Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
In silent tears I’m broken -
A heart bleeds to love, pleading
for just a call,
for the day in love with me you fall
So I’d give it all
So I’d have it all.
