Angel's grace
I always remember the very
first day
I saw you there as you made your way
I felt my heart calling to me
Saying that this was meant to be
I couldn’t help but walk over your way
You were just too much to let go away
Your beaming eyes met with mine
Our sights had gone and intertwined
I introduced myself and told you my name
You took it quite well and did the exact same
For about an hour or two we couldn’t stop talking
To me the hours were days as we kept on walking
Through the stretch from the point where we first met
To the end of the point where you had left
I thought this was it, I’d never see you again
But you said “See you in a while” with a big grin
For days on end I couldn’t stop thinking of you
For nights on end I couldn’t stop dreaming of you
You were the light in my life, and guided my path
Before it was dark, and you could hear the devil laugh
I used to be always driven mad
By my emotions and thoughts and ended up sad
But something about you, made me do something I hadn’t done in a while
You had made me form a great big ole smile
From then on my thoughts had changed
My depression and anger were out of range
A new thought had risen above
It formed an emotion, an emotion called love
If I put pen to paper I could write a book about you
I’d just listen to my heart and the words would come right through
I could write it all day and then until night
And then I’d continue until morning's light
“Her dazzling smile, her beautiful gaze
Her face is more than you could ever amaze
Her voice like a singer’s could lull you to sleep
Her melodic tune that helps you count sheep”
You are the mountains of my heart
The fire of my soul
The oceans of my mind
The wind that I breathe all
I’d always dream of us together
And for us apart I’d dream never
So as I finish writing this through
I want you to know - that I love you
