Will we remember?
The story behind the poem
The story is not that
profound at all. The fact is that last year in grade 9 I had to
write a poem for the remembrance day chapel at my school. I love
poetry so I jumped at the chance. I decided to commemorate the
soldier inside of the tomb of the unknown soldier. So that is the
basis of this poem. It is also a reminder that we are all to
remember those who died and are dying and those who will die for the
preservation of our country. I am only 15 but I believe that these
people deserve the highest respect that we can give them. And this
poem is just one way that I could do that.
