Dear Grandmother
The story behind the poem

My grandmother has passed away. We were always close at heart, but she lived very far away. Wonderful woman. She and her sister were great dancers in their time. I never knew my grandfather, he passed before I was born. My grandmother never re-married. I loved her very much. I read this poem at her funeral.
