I believe in angels
As I sleep, I feel a tickle on my eyelash;
I wake up to find that nothing is there.
Back into a deep sleep, I return.
Thinking of nothing but the sweetest of dreams
As I wander through this intriguing mystical land,
I see the most remarkable sights:
Flowers as tall as I stand with breath-taking beauty,
Creatures that smile and greet me with generosity.
As my smile brings me to my left,
I see a little girl with wings on her back.
"Hello," she grins,
And takes my hand.
She's got a loose grip but her skin is so warm.
She sits with me on a cloud
Where we talk about the most fascinating things.
She has not the slightest flaw
And I admire her kindness.
I let out a low-pitched yawn and she smiles at me sweetly.
She threads a few stars together and creates the perfect blanket.
I whisper "Goodnight, angel,"
And I thank her for her hospitality
As I slowly drift off into the night....
Daylight breaks through my window
Welcoming me to a new beginning.
I'm back in my room,
Yet I can still remember
That beautiful angel in my dreams.
I believe that
The tickle on my eyelids
That woke me from my sleep
Was not just a twitch...
I believe it was an angel's kiss
Letting me know
Someone's watching over me
